In his work, Jaime Pitarch dismembers and reconstructs every day objects. The resultant distance between the original and the new object acts as a material reflection of the fatigue and the failure of individuals in their attempt to adjust to the evolutive changes that their society imposes upon them. Balance, precariousness, insularity or self-reference are symbolic constants of  his work.
